New Library Login Method

A new login page for all library services, including Mirlyn the library catalog, is on the way! On July 17, 2006 the University Library will begin using the standard U-M web login page used by Wolverine Access, web Mail, CTools, and other widely-used services and resources on campus.

Those researchers that use the current "library method" to access library services (such as Mirlyn, Search Tools, and off-campus access to databases) will have to change to the UMICH Kerberos method (U-M uniqname and password) at that time. To ensure your uninterrupted access to library services, we recommend that you confirm you are able to log in using the standard U-M web login page now; it will only take a few minutes.

IMPORTANT: You have until MONDAY, JULY 17 to test your access. As of that day, you will ONLY be able to log in to University Library services using your UMICH Kerberos password.

How to test your access:

  1. Using your web browser, go to http://weblogin.umich.edu/.
  2. Enter your uniqname and UMICH Kerberos password and click on the Login button.
If the system accepted your password, then you are ready for the change on July 17!

If not, then you may have forgotten your password, or there is a problem with your account. If you have forgotten your password, go to the password hint page at https://accounts.www.umich.edu/hint-bin/retrieve. If the password hint doesn't help, you can contact the ITCS Accounts Office at (734)764-8000, option 1 for assistance.

We understand that changes like this are an interruption to your routine, and appreciate your patience as we make changes that improve our overall service. If you have any problems or questions about library services, please feel free to contact the University Library Ask Us reference service. Thank you!
