Bert Askwith, 102-year-old Class of '31 U-M alumnus from NYC and the donor who made possible the Askwith Media Library, Bert's Cafe, and Bert's Study Lounge, has made a generous donation to the class of 2017.

Askwith made the donation to offer Michigan students an equal opportunity to experience the rich cultural events that the University Musical Society (UMS) brings to campus. He has offered a free "Bert's Ticket" to every first year and new transfer student for a UMS event of their choice. Visit ums.org/bert to learn more about the program.

Join us in Bert's Study Lounge at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 13 to kick off the UMS season, celebrate the latest Askwith donation, and sign up for free tickets.
