The 3D Lab, part of the University of Michigan Library’s Digital Media Commons on north campus, is expanding campus access to 3D printers thanks to a grant from the university’s Third Century Initiative.

Two new CDs featuring UM faculty members are now available in the Music Library. American Piano Music (CDISC 32504) is a disc of solo piano music (by Copland, Barber, Gershwin, and Bolcom) performed by Christopher Harding. Naxos Music Library has teamed up with Sony Classical to make their entire catalog available via streaming audio. A few hundred titles have already been added, and the remaining thousands of albums will be added continuously as part of their daily updates.
The east entrance to Tappan Hall will be unavailable on Wednesday September 11th and Thursday September 12th due to sidewalk repair.
Celebrate the annual Open Access Week with us, October 21-27, 2013. We are hosting a series of events that highlight projects, research, and policies at U-M that allow the public to access and reuse the results of scholarly research online.
Bert Askwith, 102-year-old Class of '31 U-M alumnus from NYC and the donor who made possible the Askwith Media Library, Bert's Cafe, and Bert's Study Lounge, has made a generous donation to the class of 2017.
