Shapiro-Hatcher Connector is located on the 3rd floor in the Northwest corner and connects to 2 South of the Hatcher Library.

Shapiro-West Hall Connector is located on the 3rd floor in the Southeast corner and connects to the 3rd floor of West Hall (School of Information).

    There are handicap-accessible restrooms on each floor in the northeast corner of the building ( Basement, 1, 2, 3, 4 ).



Study Areas

OPEN Study Areas:
In all cases people using the collections in these areas should be given priority consideration.

RESERVED Study Areas

    Hatcher North Building - Group Study Rooms (Rm. 310 & 311)

    Rooms may be reserved for 2 hour blocks for groups of 3 people or more.
    Rooms must be reserved at least 1 day in advance.
    If room is not reserved, it may be used on a first come, first served basis.

    Hatcher South Building - "Assigned" Carrels

    “Assigned” carrels are available to faculty and Ph.D. candidates only.

    For more information, inquire at the Graduate Library Circulation Desk.
