Music Library CDs and DVDs are limited to one renewal. Books and scores may be renewed any number of times unless another borrower has placed a hold on an item.
Patrons may renew items from any University Library through Mirlyn. To do this, go to Mirlyn, click on "Login," and enter your uniqname and password. Then click on the link to your account. Select the "Checked Out Items" button to view your items. To renew individual items, check the box next to each item and then click the "Renew Checked" button. To renew all your items, click "Select All" and then the "Renew Checked Items" button.
Patrons who are unable to login to Mirlyn may use the web form for renewals. You may also renew books by phone at 734-764-2512 or via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A recall may be placed on any item that Mirlyn indicates is checked out. A recall shortens the loan period for the person who has the item. When a book is recalled, the borrower who has it will receive a recall notice. The recalled item is due on the new recall due date, which is typically 7 days from when the recall is placed. Borrowing privileges are suspended and a $2 per day fine is assessed if a recalled item is not returned by the recall due date.
You may place a recall through Mirlyn. To do this, login to Mirlyn, locate the desired item, and click on the "Get This" link to place the recall. You will receive an email when the item is ready for you.
Overdue fines for reserve items are $1 per hour. Overdue fines for recalled items are $2 per day.
Borrowing privileges are suspended when an item is 30 days overdue, or if a recalled item is one day overdue. Privileges are restored when the item is returned. Students with long overdue materials will receive a financial hold on their Wolverine Access account for the replacement and processing costs of all outstanding materials.
Fines may be paid by check at the Music Library or by cash, check, or charge at Hatcher Graduate Library or the Art, Architecture and Engineering Library.
