As "The Senior Black Correspondent" on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Larry Wilmore adds his own unique comic perspective to the reality-based satirical look at news, trends, pop culture, current events, politics, sports, and entertainment.
Wilmore began his career as an actor and stand-up comic before transitioning to television writing and producing in the early 90s. He's written for shows such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and The Jamie Foxx Show. He co-created the animated show The PJs with Eddie Murphy and a few years later created The Bernie Mac Show. Most recently he was a consulting producer on The Office.

Wilmore has just written his first book titled I'd Rather We Got Casinos and Other Black Thoughts, due out in Winter 2009. He is also developing a sitcom for himself at HBO. Wilmore has been nominated for and received numerous awards including an Emmy, a Peabody, a Humanitas, a TV Critics, and an NAACP Image Award.
Please join us for an honest and entertaining conversation about race, diversity, and politics in our country on the day before the historic Presidential Inauguration.
