We can support you when you’re overwhelmed during periods of peak activity or low staffing. Our collection can supplement yours in the areas where you’ve suffered cuts or that aren’t priorities for your patrons. MITS offers various levels of service, from standard (about 1 week) to rush (copies as quick as 1 hour). The cost for each item is determined by the level of service, type of delivery, and (for copies) the copyright royalty. We can ship materials to your office or directly to your patron – it’s your choice.

MITS is a non-profit document delivery service that is part of the University of Michigan Library system. So when you come to MITS, you're dealing with one of the biggest collections in North America, backed up by one of the biggest serials budgets. And if the material your patron needs isn’t available here, we offer “one-stop shopping” with our vast network of outside sources.
