Alternate Document Supply Options

While MITS no longer accepts requests after May 1st, 2014,* several avenues still exist to help you get the documents you need.

Alternate Document Delivery Services

We recommend the following services, similar to MITS:

Interlibrary Loan at your local university or public library

Most universities and public libraries offer Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services. If the material you need is not available at your local library, your librarian may be able to obtain it for you from another institution via ILL.  In many cases ILL services are free or low-cost. Talk to your local library to find out what options are available.

Guest Borrowing Privileges at The University of Michigan Library

Options are available for non-academic guests, as well as for affiliates from other academic institutions.  Guests who are not affiliated with a university or college are eligible for limited guest-borrowing privileges for an annual fee of $250. Please see the following page for more information: http://www.lib.umich.edu/borrowing-and-circulation/borrowing-privileges-alumni-and-guests

*With the exception of MEDC clients
