Parking available at the Palmer Drive Public Parking Structure (Monday-Saturday; on Sundays, visitor parking is closed, but faculty/staff parking is free to the public. Park in "blue" permit spaces only, not Gold, Business, or Restricted). Parking rate is $1.20 per hour. On Sundays, park in the blue staff-faculty parking area at no cost. Take the elevator in South Stairwell to Level P4. Follow the sidewalk up the hill along the Dental School Building. The Museum is ahead on the left. The main entrance is between the statues of the black pumas.Two metered, accessible parking spaces are available in the museum's rear parking lot (two-hour maximum). Accessible parking for U-M handicapped permit holders is also available at the museum and in nearby parking structures. For maps and more information, visit U-M Parking and Transportation Services.
For Help ContactRoom 2500 serves as the main service point for all areas within the library, except for the Herbarium library, which is located off-site. Main Desk: (734) 764-0467.
Building EntrancesThe main entrance is equipped with a handicap activation push button and a ramp.
ElevatorsThe elevator provides access to all public areas and is located across the atrium when you enter. There are sign indicating the location of the elevator.
ComputersWheelchair-accessible computers are located in room 2500.
Navigating the StacksPatrons may find that wheelchair navigation in the Museums Library stacks is difficult due to narrow aisles. Staff are available to assist any patrons who need help retrieving items.
Study SpacesRoom 2500 is available as a wheelchair-accessible study space. Restrooms Men’s and women’s restrooms on the first floor are designed for wheelchair access.
Herbarium libraryThe Herbarium library, located at 3600 Varsity Drive, is not open to the public without prior arrangement. More information is available at the Herbarium website or (734) 615-6200.
