Temporary/Student Positions

Looking for a job with flexible hours? Want to choose from a variety of jobs? Interested in working in a specific library?

You’ll gain valuable experience and skills working in a friendly, multicultural environment. We tend to have the greatest number of jobs in late August/early September and then at the semester breaks in December/January and April/May, but student positions open up throughout the year, and persistence in stopping by our office to check for new jobs is the best way to find one.

Students – complete the University’s student employment application in Wolverine Access > Student Business (https://wolverineaccess.umich.edu/), then complete the MLibrary application (click here) and bring a printed copy with you in person to:

After you have been hired, you will need to bring identification to the Library HR office to complete the Employment Eligibility Verification form (I-9). (Click Here) to see the list of acceptable documents.
