The meeting was called to order by Forum Chair Martin Knott at 9:05 a.m.
Introductions
- Scott Martin (Science Library) introduced Ye Li, the new Chemistry Librarian.
Announcements
- Darlene Nichols reminded everyone that proposals for sessions of interest for Enriching Scholarship are still being accepted. See http://www.umich.edu/~teachtec/es.html for details.
- Lori Tschirhart announced a Brown Bag to discuss the relative strengths of Scopus and Web of Science to be held on January 22 from 12-1 in the ULIC.
- Gary Munce reminded everyone of the Webinar on mobile technologies that will be viewed in the ULIC at noon today.
- Donna Hayward reported that there were over 40 inquiries about SkillShare, 24 applications, and 9 matches (8 pairs and and 1 triad). Groups will post their experiences on the Librarians' Forum blog. The February Forum will be devoted to presentations and discussion of participants' experiences.
Presentation by Staff from the University Press
Phil Pochoda, Ellen Bauerle, Karen Hill, Melody Herr, and Kris Bishop gave presentations on the Press's operations and workflow.
