Professor Bergstrom has been collaborating with Paul Courant and Preston McAfee to learn about the deals behind Big Deals and find out what the contracts really say, and he will be speaking about the results of that research. The Aaron and Cherie Raznick Chair of Economics in the UCSB’s Economics Department, Professor Bergstrom has written extensively about journal pricing, electronic resources, and the costs Open Access publishing.
