  • The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation An independent, nonprofit organization dedicated to the encouragement of excellence in education, among other types of support, the foundation offers fellowships for graduate study. Mellon Minority University Fellows Dissertation Grants and Travel & Reserach Grants, Andrew W. Mellon Fellowshiops in Humanistic Studies, Charlotte W. Newcombe Doctoral Dissertation Fellowships to name a few.
  • National Academies Fellowship Office for Policy and Global Affairs
    The Fellowship Office of Policy and Global Affairs administers predoctoral, dissertation, postdoctoral, and other fellowship programs for advanced study in research-based disciplines. The Academies administers the following fellowship programs: the Ford Foundation Predoctoral, Dissertation, and Postdoctoral Fellowships for Minorities; the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Predoctoral Fellowships in Biological Sciences; and the HUD Urban Scholars Postdoctoral Fellowship Program.

  • The Ford Foundation Fellowships for Minorities The fellowships offer by the Ford Foundation included dissertation fellowships and postdoctoral fellowships. These are awards to members of six minority groups whose underrepresentation in the professoriate has been severe and long-standing. The minorities include, Alaska Natives (Eskimo or Aleut) Black/African Americans, Mexican Americans/Chicanas/Chicanos, Native American Indians, Native Pacific Islanders (Polynesian/Micronesian), and Puerto Ricans
