Computing ResourcesBasic Computing Package - This package provides a set of fundamental computing services at no charge to all registered students, faculty, and regular staff on the Ann Arbor campus. CTools - CTools is the campus' online research, project, and course management system. Most courses have a CTools site, and you can create your own CTools site to share information with colleagues. Dial In & Remote Access - U-M students, faculty and staff can use the campus networks and Internet from off-campus, which you can access via a dial-in service. As a U-M student, faculty, or regular staff member, you receive an amount of dial-in usage at no charge as part of the Basic Computing Package. File Storage & IFS Space - The University provides several ways for students, faculty, and staff to share and store files. UniqName & Passwords - To access U-M's computing environment students need an ID ("uniqname") and a UMICH password. UM Wireless Network - Wireless internet access is available at many points all over campus. |
