Script:
Naskh ; elegant, compact Persianate hand ; mainly serifless (though rightward serif on shaqq of kāf) with slight effect of tilt to the right, especially long and vertical free-standing alifs, contrasting thickness of horizontal strokes, quite rounded with curvilinear descenders (some sweeping), many closed counters, casual pointing mainly in distinct dots, final nūn quite round with dot set down in.
Decoration:
Keywords and vocalization rubricated ; Qurʼānic passages being commented upon overlined in red.
Support:
non-European laid paper with 6-7 laid lines per cm. (horizontal) and occasional chain lines visible roughly 20 mm. apart (possibly in large group) ; well-burnished and fairly smooth, dark cream in color, fairly crisp, cloudy formation ; back flyleaves in European laid paper with crown above grapes (raisin) watermark.
Binding:
Pasteboards covered in brown leather with red leather repairs to spine and fore edge flap ; Type II binding (with flap, now fully detached) ; doublures (board linings) in an elegant marbled paper (mainly in pink, dark blue, and brown) ; upper and lower covers carry large blind-stamped (with tan leather recessed onlay) mandorla (filled with vegetal composition, compare Déroche class. OAi 6) with gold-painted accents and tooled pendants (a cluster of rosette stamps), as well as tooled and gold-painted border ; sewn in pink thread, two stations ; endbands in light blue and light pink, damaged, exposing brown leather of core ; overall in quite poor condition with spine split through (at p.286), lower cover detached, flap fully detached, some abrasion and lifting and losses of leather, etc. ; housed in box for protection ; repairs in red leather (also damaged).

Origin:
As appears in colophon on p.359, copied by Niẓām ibn Ḥuwayān [?] al-Bīshkīnī (Pīshkīnī or Bīshgīnī, likely a reference to the Pīshkīnids of Ahar), with transcription completed in Ṣafar 776 [July-August 1374].
Ownership and History:
Two ownership statements on 'title page' (p.5), reading / study notice in name of Abdullatif b. Mehmet ( عبد اللطيف بن محمد ) reads "مما طالعه الفقير عبد اللطيف بن محمد الشهير برضى [؟] زاده جعل العلم ربه زاده تم" and another in name of Ḥājjī Sulaymān al-ʻUmarī ( حاجي سليمان العمري) reads "في ... الفقير الراجي عفو ربه المتعالي [؟] العمري حاجي سليمان امامب المسجد العمري ... حلب" ; book price on 'title page' (p.5) ; marginal glosses and corrections.
