European laid paper with 8 laid lines per cm. (vertical), chain lines spaced 23-28 mm. apart (horizontal), and possible hand or glove watermark (see p.40, 41, 66, 366, 382, etc.) ; medium cream in color, well-burnished to glossy, sturdy and dense though crisp.
Binding:
Pasteboards covered in brown leather ; Type II binding (with flap) ; board linings in beige laid paper ; fore edge flap lined in purple textile ; upper and lower covers carry blind-stamped scalloped mandorla (filled with symmetrical vegetal composition, similar to Déroche class. OSd1) as well as tooled border ; sewn in beige thread, two stations ; only traces of headband remain ; overall in somewhat poor condition with much abrasion, staining, lifting and losses of leather, etc. ; repairs to spine, fore edge flap, and board edges in red leather.

[?] ibn al-Ḥusayn ibn ʻĪsá ibn Yāsīn al-Sharīf al-Ḥasanī, statement reads "ملك ... واقل عبيده علي بن عبد العزيز بن عبد الله بن ... بن الحسين بن عيسى بن ياسين الشريف الحسنى ... الدار والمنشا المالكي مذهبا الاشعري اعتقادا ... وفي اوائل ... احد وعشرين والف" ; occasional marginal corrections and notabilia (side-heads).
