Script:
Naskh ; fine, medium Turkish or 'Syrian' hand ; partially seriffed with right-sloping head-serif on most ascenders other than free-standing alif, slight effect of tilt to the left, rounded with curvilinear descenders, pointing mainly in distinct dots.
Decoration:
Keywords, section headings, and abbreviation symbols (mainly two-teeth stroke) rubricated.
Support:
European laid paper with 12 laid lines per cm. (horizontal), chain lines spaced 23 mm. apart (vertical), grapes (raisin) under crown watermark with "IF" below (see p.60, 70, etc.), transluscent and sturdy, very well burnished, mainly beige or light yellow in color ; some staining and tide lines, as well as minor foxing.
Binding:
Pasteboards covered in printed shell marbled paper (mainly in dark blue and dark brown) with green-blue cloth over spine ; Type III binding (without flap) ; board linings in green textile ; sewn in dark pink thread, two stations, many threads broken ; worked endbands in light yellow and beige or dark pink, damaged with significant losses ; overall in somewhat poor condition with much abrasion, staining, some delamination of boards, lifting and losses of paper and cloth, detaching at spine, etc.

Origin:
As appears with authorial colophon on p.440, transcription apparently completed in 1144 [1731 or 2]. Authorial colophon indicates that composition was completed 10 Muḥarram 804 [1401] in the author's house in Bursa (Brūṣah) where Bāyazīd I had his court.
Ownership and History:
Circular seal impression at close on p.440 in name of one Fayḍī, dated 1247 [1831 or 2], "عبده فيضي ٢٤٧" ; occasional notabilia (side-heads) mainly marked مطلب.
