In-Process Locator Service No Longer Available

The In-Process Locator Service was established in 1983 in response to a need to locate material in the processing queues for patrons and staff. The implementation of new workflow processes in Technical Services has resulted in timely turnaround of material from receipt to shelf and eliminated lengthy processing queues and backlogs. Turnaround time will continue to improve as Technical Services implements additional efficiencies in the ordering, receiving, and processing of new collection material. The improvements that have been put in place have enabled the Library to phase out the In-Process Locator Service and redirect staff time to other processing responsibilities.

If the copy of a title you are seeking in Mirlyn displays On Order, Order Received, At Labeling, or In Process, you should use Mirlyn's Get This link to request it. Your request will be forwarded to the appropriate unit and you will be contacted within 72 business hours with an update on the item's status. Our goal is to have the item on hold at a circulation desk for you within the 72 business hours if it has been received by the Technical Services. Items that are On Order will be expedited and placed on hold for you as soon as the item is received in Technical Services. For status labels such as En Route to Divisional and At Bindery, contact the Circulation Desk staff at the location library.
