Instruction Facilities

The Library can provide instruction in a variety of spaces throughout the library system.  Below is a list of the various facilities and information about their capacity, equipment, and location.  Please note that most of these spaces are only available for reservation for library purposes.

Central Campus

	University Library Instructional Center (ULIC), 4059 Shapiro Capacity: 25 Equipment: Computer with projector & screen, computer stations. Directions: In the Shapiro Library building (housing both Undergraduate and Science libraries), take the main lobby stairs or elevator to the 4th floor. Turn right and go past the bathrooms. Turn right again and the ULIC is about halfway down the hallway on the right.
	Gallery Computer Lab, 100 Harlan Hatcher Graduate Library Capacity: 30-40, but only 20 laptops are available Equipment: Computer with projector & screen, 20 laptops. Directions: Go in the main entrance off of the Diag.  The Gallery is located on the left side in the back of the lobby area.  Go up the ramp and the lab is on the right at the top of the ramp.
	Sites Lab Science Library, 4041 Shapiro Capacity: 18 Equipment: Computer with projector & screen, computer stations. Directions: In the Shapiro Library building (housing both Undergraduate and Science libraries), take the main lobby stairs or elevator to the 4th floor. Turn right and go past the bathrooms. Turn right again and the room is about halfway down the hallway on the right, next to the ULIC.
	Sites Lab UGL, 2nd Floor Shapiro Undergraduate Library Capacity: 29 & 22 Equipment: Computer with projector & screen, 29 Macs and 22 PCs. Directions: Take stairs or elevator to the second floor.  Turn left from the stairs or right from the elevators and the lab is partway down the long wall on the left. 	Shapiro Screening Room, 2160 Shapiro Capacity: up to 49 Equipment: The Screening Room accommodates a range of media, including 16mm film, ¾ inch tape, VHS (NTSC and PAL), laserdisc, DVD (multi-region), Blu-Ray, and digital. The Screening Room features a multimedia projector with surround sound, as well as a computer for accessing digital media, software, and internet. The Room is also connected to the UMTV closed circuit television network. 	Faculty Exploratory 206, Hatcher Graduate Library Capacity: 17 Equipment: Computer with projector & screen, 17 computer stations. Directions: Take the stairs or elevator to the second floor of Hatcher. The Faculty Exploratory is next to the reference desk, across from the Knowledge Navigation Center.
	Special Collections Library Teaching Space, 7th floor, Hatcher Graduate Library Capacity: 15-20 Equipment: Computer with projector & screen Directions: In the Hatcher Graduate Library, take the elevator to the 7th floor. Special Collections is on the right.
