On display in the lovely Hatcher Library reading room, Between explores the stillness in the space between places, powers and context. Artist Math Monahan uses a system of braided reference books, allows the tension of the arrangement to hold things together without adhesives or restraints, and lets the pages slowly unbraid themselves over time.
Monahan is an MFA student in the Stamps School of Art & Design.
