Recalls occur when another patron requests an item that is already checked out. When a book is recalled borrowers will receive a recall notice via email. The recalled book is due on the date listed after the NEW RECALL DUE DATE, in that notice and in your Mirlyn account.
Recalled books should be returned directly to the Hatcher Graduate Library North or South Circulation desks, or to the outside drop box if the library is closed.
Borrowing privileges are suspended if a recalled item is not returned by the RECALL DUE DATE. In addition, a $2.00 per day per item fine is assessed to ALL student borrowers.
See the Borrowing and Circulation policy on fines for more information.
|Recall overdue fines||$2.00 per day||All Borrowers|
|Lost Book fees||Cost of book (or default price of $100.00) plus $50.00 processing fee||All Borrowers|
|Returned Check fee||$15.00||All Borrowers|
Borrowing privileges are suspended when a book becomes 30 days overdue. Privileges are restored when the item is renewed or returned. This applies to all borrowers.
Tours of the library are scheduled every Fall Term during the first two (2) weeks of classes. A Self-Guided Walking Tour booklet is also available at the Hatcher Graduate Library North Circulation desk, year round. The online Library Navigator is also available.
Applications for book lockers and assigned carrels are taken at the North Circulation desk.
