Oehrli, Hallman, and Downing to Present at SXSW Film Festival

Angie Oehrli (Learning Librarian), Phil Hallman (Film Studies Librarian) and Karen Downing (Foundations & Grants Librarian) will be included in the panel Dig Deep: Libraries, Archives and Filmmaking at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday, March 13, 2012.

The panel also includes Tim Hamblin, Video Archivist at the Austin History Center, and Lisa Hamilton, Public Librarian at the Austin Public Library, and will focus on how libraries and archives can help independent filmmakers create their projects.

Established in 1994, the SXSW Film Festival strives “to provide a forum for new voices in filmmaking, a community where filmmakers can celebrate and support one another and a source of discovery for the future landscape of film.” For more information about the panel and an interview with Oehrli see http://sxsw.com/node/10160.
