The University Library provides access to over 1000 newspapers in a variety of formats. Electronic access is available through the following databases: Access World News, LexisNexis Academic, InfoTrac Custom Newspapers, ProQuest Historical Newspapers, Times Digital Archive, World News Connection, China Core Newspaper Databases, the Universal Database of Russian Newspapers, and Library PressDisplay. The Library also maintains print subscriptions to the most widely used daily newspapers.
The current print issues are located in the reading room on 2 South Hatcher. Print newspapers are shelved the day they are received in the library; any gap is due to the shipping interval. In addition, microfilm copies for many newspapers are found on 2 South Hatcher.
Microfilm reader/printers are available for viewing and printing and digital microform scanners are available to view and save to IFS space, CD ROMs or flash drives.
