Data for places of 20,000+ expected in 2008, all governmental units regardless of size in 2010, and census tracts/block groups in 2012
ACS will replace the long-form Census data in 2010

American Community Survey for Research with Native Americans

Annual sample survey of the public with questions very similar to the 2000 Census sample questionnaire. Data is cummulated on a rolling basis and will eventually replace the 2010 sample questionnaire.
Access is primarily through American Factfinder.
The 2005 survey provides data for the U.S. and states as well as counties, groups of counties (pumas), and cities over 65,000

American Community Survey Integrated Public Use Microdata Samples

These are raw data files from the American Community Survey, which you can use to tabulate your own variables.
The data for most tribes is at a national level only.
Options for using them
- IPUMS Public Use Software. You will choose your variables on the lefthand side of the screen and filter for a particular tribe

American Factfinder

Primary vehicle for the distribution of 2000 Census data with numerous files from the 1990 Census of Population and Housing, American Community Survey, and the 2002 Economic Censuses (employment, payrolls and receipts of business establishments)
Main navigation section is on the lefthand side. It includes Data Sets and Maps.

American Hospital Directory

Search for hospitals by name, state, city, or three-digit zip code. Free data includes Medicare data on disease treated by type for individual hospitals. More detail available through license.
