- African Writers Series. For 40 years Heinemann's African Writers Series has published the canonical texts of modern African literature, and this online resource provides full-text versions of all 359 volumes in the original series. $21,400.
- Atlas of the Great Qing Dynasty. Beijing: Wei suo Publishing, 2003. Transliterated title: Da Qing yi tong yu tu. Language: Chinese. A reprint atlas of the 1932 facsimile edition. Original 104 copper plates were engraved in 1760 under French missionary Michel Benoist. First reprinted by the Imperial Palace Museum in Beijing in 1932. $70.
- Cary paired globes. An exquisite matched pair of celestial and terrestial globes made by John Cary, an important early 19th century British mapmaker. $75,000.
- Civitas Orbis Terrarum (1612-1617). Produced by Georg Braun and Franz Hogenberg, this is the first atlas of all the urban areas and major settlements of the known world. $185,000.
- Collection of Eastern European Artists' Books. A collection of approximately 79 artists' books produced by notable avant-garde Eastern European artists during the 1970's and 1980's. $7,500.
- A Collection of Imperial Seals from the Qing Dynasty. Six volumes of a reprinted collection of seals used by emperors and empresses of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). $360.
- A Collection of Prominent Library Studies Periodicals in Contemporary ChinaSeries II. Beijing: National Beijing Library Press, 2005. Transliterated title: Jin dai Zhu ming tu shu guan guan kan hui cui xu bian. Language: Chinese. The Asia Library has already housed the first series of A Collection of Prominent Library Studies Periodicals in Contemporary China. The second series includes a 20-volume reprinted collection of some of the most prominent library studies journals published in China in the early 20th century. $750.
- Digitization equipment for rare items. Digitization efforts for rare and fragile items require special cameras, lighting, computers, and personnel. Equipment: $110,000.
- Dream of the Rarebit Fiend. By Winsor McCay. An extensive collection of this influential comic strip published in American newspapers from 1904 to 1913. It also includes a DVD with high resolution scans of all 821 episodes known to exist. $133.
- Eastern European Artists' Books. A collection of approximately 79 artists' books produced by notable avant-garde Eastern European artists during the 1970s and 1980s. $7,500.
- Electronic Archives of US House and Senate Committee Hearings. Part A (1824-1979) and Part B (1980-2003). Includes full text searchability. Both parts are $90,000.
- Electronic versions of Tibetan Buddhist Resource Center texts. This is an extensive electronic collection of rare texts. Twelve sets of about 1,000 texts each are planned, we have purchased collections one to four; collection five is currently available for purchase. $8,000 per set.
- El Nuevo Tesoro Lexicográfico del Español. A ten-volume linguistic and literary reference work in Spanish. $730.
- Endowing the Deanship of the University of Michigan Library. The University of Michigan Library is currently in a period of rapid growth as it adapts to the changing needs of our users while remaining one of the most innovative academic libraries in the country. - Historical Picture Postcard Collection from the Philippines. One thousand pre-WWII postcards with beautiful images and photography documenting the people, landscape, and culture of the Philippines. $5,000.
- La pirateria nell'Adriatico antico. Roma. Edited by L'Erma di Bretschneider. 2004. A collection of papers in Italian on the subject of piracy in the ancient Adriatic, taken from a conference held in Venice in 2002. $181.
- Madriz. Extremely rare complete run (1984-1987) of the Spanish comic serial, heavily illustrated by some of Spain's most important graphic artists. $2,500.
- A Map of Korea from the Collection of Gyujanggak, Seoul National University. A catalog of old Korean maps from the collection of Gyujanggak at Seoul National University. $350.
- MEMS/NEMS Handbook. The MEMS/NEMS (Microelectromechanical Systems/Nanoelectromechanical Systems) Handbook covers all of the major topics within the field including design methods, fabrication techniques, manufacturing methods, sensors and actuators, and Micro Optical Electro Mechanical Systems. A valuable reference source for engineering and computer science faculty and students. 5 vols. $999.
- Ningen keisei, published by Nihon Tosho Senta. 2006. After World War II, in Japan, this serial publication influenced a great deal of the Japanese moral education. Now the serial is published as a reprint monographic edition. 5 vols. $900.
- Passing Continued, by Beata Wehr. Arizona, via Poland, 2001. A black cloth band, wrapped from front to back cover and stitched in place, recalls an armband worn for mourning. Edition of 20. (5.25 x 8 inches; 10 pp.) $105.
- Personal Paradigms, A Game of Human Experience, by Julie Chen. (Artist's Book) Flying Fish Press, 2004. A truly interactive experience for the reader in the form of a game that is played and the results then recorded in a collaborative ledger book. The object of the game focuses on the player's own life experience and perceptions at the moment that the game is being played. Game components housed in a 15.5X11.25X4.75" cloth-covered box. Includes a letterpress-printed game board and a multitude of laser-cut game pieces. Game board opens to 21X30". Edition of 100. $2,100.
- Pianta Dela Citta di Firenze, by G. Molini. ca. 1844. A plan of Florence, Italy before the 19th century urban renewals that drastically changed parts of the mediaeval and renaissance fabric of the city. $2,000.

- Selected Korean Fiction Written in Chinese. Nine volume set of selected Korean fiction written in Chinese characters before 1900. $300.
- Ten Years of Uzbekistan. 1994, edition of 45 plus five artist's proofs. 20 X 14 in, 508 X 356 mm; 60 pp, printed endpapers. Bound in black cloth in a black cloth slipcase. Printed by polychrome letterpress using woodletter numerals and Monotype Bodoni text. This Artist's Book is a collaboration between David King (text) and Ken Campbell (images) and stands as a witness to censorship during Stalin's era. $5,800.

- Twisted, by Ed Hutchins. 1992. (Artist's Book) Attempts to twist out of conformity change to a confirmation of individual expression in an artist book designed so the pages automatically advance as the covers are twisted.
