Author and U-M Librarian Jim Ottaviani reads from his book Primates followed by discussion with John Mitani, the James N. Spuhler Collegiate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Anthropology. Book sales are courtesy of Vault of Midnight.

Following 2011's critically-acclaimed, bestselling science biography FEYNMAN, Ottaviani returns with Primates, an action-packed account of the three great woman primatologists of the last century: Jane Goodall, Dian Fossey, and Birute Galdikas. These three ground-breaking researchers were all students of the great Louis Leakey, and each made profound contributions to primatology--and to our own understanding of ourselves.

The Author's Forum is a collaboration between the U-M Institute for the Humanities, University Library, Great Lakes Literary Arts Center, & Ann Arbor Book Festival.
