Location
The Fine Arts Library is located on the 2nd floor of Tappan Hall, on Central Campus. Tappan Hall is the red brick building between the President's house and the UM Museum of Art along South University. See number 3 on the Central Campus Map.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
I-94 (Ford Freeway)
From Detroit or Metro Airport (heading West)
Take State Street Exit 177. Turn right (north). Continue on State Street approximately 2 miles to the main campus area. At the intersection of State Street and South University, turn right. The Fine Arts Library is the second building (red brick) on your left.

Take State Street Exit 177. Turn left (north). Continue on State Street approximately 2 miles to the main campus area. At the intersection of State Street and South University, turn right. The Fine Arts Library is the second building (red brick) on your left.

From Ohio (heading North)
Take Washtenaw-Ann Arbor Exit 37B and turn right (west) onto Washtenaw. At the fork in the road where Stadium Blvd and Washtenaw split (approximately 2-3 miles), stay to the right on Washtenaw following the Hospital signs. Take a left at Hill Street (you'll see "The Rock"). Continue down Hill Street (campus buildings will be on your right). Take a right on State Street. At the intersection of State Street and South University, turn right. The Fine Arts Library is the second building (red brick) on your left.
US-23
From Northern MI (heading South)
Take US-23 South to M-14 West. Follow M-14 West signs closely. At the fork, stay to the Right following the "Ann Arbor" signs. Take the second exit after the fork, Exit #3, called Downtown Ann Arbor, this will become Main Street. Follow Main Street to William Street. Take a left at William Street Continue down William Street until it ends at State St. Take a right on State Street. At the intersection of State Street and South University, turn left. The Fine Arts Library is the second building (red brick) on your left.
I-696 (W.P. Ruether Freeway)
From Northwestern Suburbs of Metro-Detroit
Take I-696 to I-275 South to M-14 West. Follow the M-14 West signs closely. At the fork, stay to the left following the "Ann Arbor" signs. Take the second exit after the fork, Exit #3, which is called "Downtown Ann Arbor", this will become Main St. Follow Main St. to Williams St. Take a left on Williams and follow it until it ends at State St. Take a right on State St. At the intersection of State Street and South University, turn left. From Parts of Detroit, Redford, M-14, Dearborn, Plymouth and Canton
Take I-96 to M-14 West. Follow M-14 West closely as by Ann Arbor it forks. Take the second exit after the fork, Exit #3, which is marked "Downtown Ann Arbor"; this will become Main Street. Follow Main Street to Williams Street. Turn left on Williams Street and follow it until it ends at State St. Take a right on State Street. At the intersection of State Street and South University, turn left. The Fine Arts Library is the second building (red brick) on your left.
