Shakespeare in India Film Festival

The Bard goes to Bollywood in this International Studies film festival celebrating Shakespeare’s 450th birthday! Stop by at any time throughout the day to catch three stunning Indian adaptations of Shakespeare’s plays, followed by the story of a travelling Shakespeare company struggling with the rise of Bollywood in post-colonial India.

Creating an Inexpensive Open Source Book Scanner

For the past two semesters, the University of Michigan Library collaborated with Mechanical Engineering 450 students to create a prototype linear book scanner based on openly-available designs by Google. Please join us to hear the Winter 2014 ME450 students discuss their project, describe the improved design, and demo their prototype.
