Mozilla Science Lab Global Sprint

This two-day Open Science hackathon brings together researchers, coders, librarians and the public from around the globe to hack on open science and open data projects in their communities. This year there are four tracks anyone can contribute to: Tools, Citizen Science, Open Educational Resources and Open Data.

Copyright Workshop: Fair Use Cases

This workshop will use court cases to illustrate the doctrine of fair use, with a particular focus on fair use as it applies to libraries and universities. Participants will then be invited to practice applying fair use to a set of hypothetical scenarios. All are welcome.

The Road to Xanadu: Charting the Lost World

Explore the lost world with us through maps of real and legendary lost cities and ghost towns. We'll explore the ruins of Persepolis, travel the Inca trail to Machu Picchu, rediscover Angkor in the jungles of Cambodia, and chart a course for Atlantis aboard the Nautilus. It's Third Thursday in the Clark Library, so we'll also have light refreshments.
