U-M Professor of Middle Eastern Literature Anton Shammas joins Lebanese novelist Elias Khoury in a conversation about Khoury’s fiction and writing, and his attitude toward classical and modern Arabic poetry.

Khoury has published 12 novels which have been translated into numerous languages, four books of literary criticism, and many articles and reviews. His academic career includes his work as a professor at Columbia University, the Lebanese University, the American University of Beirut, and the Lebanese American University.

The Author's Forum is a collaboration between the U-M Institute for the Humanities, University Library, Great Lakes Literary Arts Center, & Ann Arbor Book Festival. Additional support for this event provided by the U-M Department of Near Eastern Studies.
