Advanced Leadership Program – Library Project Showcase

The Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) through the Center for the Education of Women is a competitive leadership development program for U-M staff. The 2015-2016 ALP cohort includes an unusually large number of professionals from the University Library, including five staff and librarians representing four library divisions, including Collections, Learning and Teaching, Publishing, and Research. During this year-end showcase, library participants from this year’s cohort will share their program takeaways and the outcomes of their respective independent change projects.

Jim Ottaviani Talks "The Imitation Game: Alan Turing Decoded"

Join us for a lively discussion with renowned comic author, librarian, and scientist Jim Ottaviani. Ottaviani is the author of several graphic novels about the history of science. His best-known work, Feynman, covers the life of Nobel-winning quantum physicist Richard Feynman. His newest graphic novel, The Imitation Game, is about the mathematician Alan Turing.  Signed copies of The Imitation Game will be available for purchase at the event through Literati Bookstore.
