Africana is a database of Africana materials acquired by one or more of 18 participating U.S. institutions. Eighteen institutions (including Columbia, Howard, Library of Congress, Yale, etc.) participated in the AFRICANA file, which was maintained by Northwestern University's Africana Library. The database is no longer being updated.
