is associate professor of English at the University of Minnesota, where she teaches poetry and poetics. She is the author of The Dark End of the Street: Margins in American Vanguard Literature and co-author (with Miekal And) of Literature Nation, a book-length hypertext poem. Most recently, she edited a special section on poet Bob Kaufman for the journal Callaloo.
