He is the author, with Rodney Phillips, of A Secret Location on the Lower East Side: Adventures in Writing 1960–1980. His most recent project was coedited with Jerome Rothenberg: A Book of the Book: Some Works and Projections About the Book & Writing. He lives in New York City with his wife and their two young daughters.
