Clark Library Reference Services

Librarians or graduate student assistants provide reference assistance to Clark Library patrons during all hours of operation.

Anyone is welcome to come use the collections or ask for research assistance. Reference is provided in-person, by phone at 734-764-0410, or via email to . An appointment is recommended for in-person assistance so that you can meet with an appropriate librarian or staff member.

Reference assistance includes:

  • navigate government-produced resources including print depository items, subscription-based databases, and electronic resources made available for free online
  • bibliographic searching
  • analytical and historical bibliography
  • database searches
  • assistance with locating and obtaining cartographic materials
  • assistance with spatial information.

Class use of the collection, class presentations and other uses may be arranged by contacting us.

For extended assistance with database searches or large research projects, it is advisable to schedule a research consultation.
