Center for Entrepreneurship

The Center for Entrepreneurship (CFE) is impact-driven: we empower Michigan entrepreneurs to make a difference through the development of disruptive ideas and scalable ventures that have a positive impact on society.
To promote the entrepreneurial mindset and startup creation on campus, CFE:
  • Sponsors entrepreneurship courses, academic programs, and co-curricular opportunities;
  • Offers academic and startup advising;
  • Connects students to the Michigan alumni and mentor network;
  • Provides grants for students to pursue startup ideas;
  • Coordinates activities with entrepreneurship student organizations on campus;
  • Co-manages the TechArb student startup accelerator;
  • Assists researchers with the commercialization process;
  • Supports Michigan economic development efforts.

With offices on both North Campus (Duderstadt Center, 3rd Floor) and Central Campus (Shapiro Undergraduate Library, Ground Floor), CFE resources, programs, and activities are open to all students across campus.

The Central Campus location offers:
  • open hacker space for student entrepreneurs;
  • meeting space for student startup teams and entrepreneurial student organizations;
  • academic and venture advising for students.
