Directions to Buhr Shelving Facility

The Buhr Shelving Facility is located on the UM South/Athletic Campus at the corner of Hill and Greene Streets, about 2 1/2 blocks north of the UM Stadium. The reading room is located in room 1205, which is through the entrance in the middle of the building right off the SC-12 parking lot.

Walking Directions
It is about a 20 minute walk to Buhr from Central Campus. Walk South on State Street, until you get to the corner of Hill and State and take a right on Hill. Follow Hill until you cross the railroad track. Turn left on Greene.

Campus Bus Directions
You can take the University of Michigan South Commuter Bus to the corner of Hoover and Greene and walk one block north to the Buhr Building. The North Commuter Bus at the corner of Hoover and Greene will take you back to Central Campus. The bus trip will take 15-30 minutes, depending on how long you wait for the bus. Route maps are available from the Parking and Transportation Services website.

Driving Directions
From Central Campus, take Huron Street west to Fifth Street. Head south (left) on Fifth until you get to Hill. Turn right on Hill, go over the railroad tracks, then take a left on Greene Street. There is UM Blue lot parking right in front of Buhr.  Metered parking spots and other UM lots are farther south on Greene Street.

The Buhr Building is located at C-12 in the southeast corner of the map of the UM Central and South Campus. Use of this map requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
