The Ask a Librarian research help service provides text message (SMS) service as an option to contact the Ask a Librarian staff on your cell phone.

Text us your question at 734-315-0507

(Note that standard text charges from your cell phone service provider may apply.)

The popular Ask a Librarian service expands its presence to the mobile environment by providing a free text message research help service. Currently, the texting service is available to UM students, staff and faculty for the purpose of providing quick answers to simple questions.

By sending a text message to our research help service, you give permission to MLibrary to reply to your text message. Note that it may take several replies to fully answer your question. For more detailed assistance or more complete answers, please use instant messaging, email, phone or contact us in-person at any reference desk.
