Borrowing AAE Library Materials

Materials available for borrowing may be checked out at either the Information Desk on the 1st floor or the Reserves desk on the 2nd floor.

Materials that are located in the Reserves may only be checked out from the Reserve Desk.

Materials that are located in other University of Michigan Libraries may be requested to be sent to the Art, Architecture & Engineering Library via the Library to Library Delivery Service.

Loan Periods

• Undergraduates: 3 weeks - up to six renewals
• Graduate Students : 8 weeks - up to six renewals
• GSIs, Faculty and Staff: 8 weeks - unlimited renewals

Recreational Reading Collection materials 3 weeks - no renewals (all borrowers)
Reference Materials Never circulate
Journals Never Circulate
Course Reserve Materials 2 hours
Permanent Reserve 4 hours - building use only
Microfiche Never Circulate
IEEE Conferences 4 hours - building use only
Career Materials 3 days - no renewals
CAEN Manuals 4 hours
Videos, and most CD-ROMs 3 days
Video Games 4 hours - in CVGA use only

Members of the U-M Community are eligible for borrowing privileges.

UM Alumni and other groups may be eligible for borrowing privileges.
