Books can be renewed in "My Account" unless another borrower has requested the item. Reserve books, career books and recalled books may not be renewed. Learn how to renew a book from the Borrowing and Circulation page on renewals.
Recalls occur when another patron requests an item that is already checked out. When a book is recalled borrowers will receive a recall notice via email. The recalled book is due on the date listed after the new recall due date, in that notice and in your Mirlyn account.
Return recalled books directly to a library circulation desk, or to the outside drop box if the library is closed.
Borrowing privileges are suspended if a recalled item is not returned by the recall due date. In addition, a $2.00 per day per item fine is assessed to all student borrowers.
See the Borrowing and Circulation policy on fines for more information.
|Overdue Recall||$2.00 per day|
|Lost Book||Cost of book (or default price of $100.00) plus $50.00 processing fee|
Borrowing privileges are suspended when a book becomes 30 days overdue. Privileges are restored when the item is renewed or returned. This applies to all borrowers.
