On Friday, October 18, there will be an open house with art work created by U-M students. The open house will also feature: Afrokilts, an exhibit connecting Africa and Scotland through textiles; Soundscapes of Childhood, an audio and visual investigation into the Arboretum and the experience of growing up around the Great Lakes; and an exhibit co-curated by a U-M graduate student, exploring the influence of Jewish culture on American food. The event will take place from 4:00pm - 6:00pm throughout the Hatcher Graduate Library's Audobon Room and Gallery, the Stephen S. Clark Library, and Bert's Study Lounge in the Shapiro Undergraduate Library. At 4:30pm, Dean of Libraries James Hilton will provide remarks in the Hatcher Graduate Library Gallery.
