PlayStation 4

Did you know that the Computer & Video Game Archive has recently gotten a PlayStation 4? It comes with some great titles, including Knack, Killzone: Shadow Fall, Need for Speed: Rivals, Rayman Legends and Pinball Arcade. This console has now been added to our list of available systems that are available to play games on in the archive. Be sure to check them out for yourself!

Books24x7 is a resource that includes e-books and videos in engineering and IT areas. Our subscription includes the following collections:

Artist Book

Hina : Japanese Girl’s Day Dolls

Case contains twelve color photographs mounted on gold paper. When unfolded, case stands upright; when folded, case ties shut with black satin ribbon from obi of doll cut-out on front. From the colophon: "All of the illustrations are pen and ink drawings by the author. They were scanned into a computer and composed with text in PageMaker. The font is Papyrus ICG. Each page was Gocco printed on sumi paper. The peach blossoms were printed first, then the other screens were used to print the text and illustrations"

Imageworks

"Cities on Speed"

"Cities on Speed" is a series of four documentaries about megacities, their problems and attempts at solutions. Commissioned by the Danish Film Institute and the national broadcaster DR, each film focuses on a particular city and specific situation: Bogotá: Improving Civic Behavior, Cairo: Garbage, Mumbai: Traffic, and Shanghai: Space. Of particular interest to urban planners and designers, these dvds are well worth checking out!
