U-M students, faculty and staff can now access the digital Dictionary of American Regional English (DARE), which documents English language usage variation in words, phrases, and pronunciations across the U.S.

You can search the dictionary or browse by region using an interactive map. You can also create your own maps based on the extensive survey data, download survey data, and hear audio clips from over 4,000 interview recordings.
