U-M Rules and Procedures

Violations of academic integrity are handled by different units of the University of Michigan depending on the status of the violator (undergraduate student, graduate student, faculty or staff). For students, violations are handled by the individual colleges.

  Section 8.D.2 "Academic Integrity and Academic Misconduct" is the University's general statement about these topics and presents the central role schools and colleges have in setting specific policies and procedures for their constituents.

  Created by CRLT, this page provides links to the policies and procedures of all schools on the Ann Arbor campus. Also includes links to selected campus websites dealing with academic integrity.

  This is the official policy of LSA. Articulates community standards, gives examples of academic misconduct, describes procedures for handling alleged cases of wrongdoing and includes illustrations of sanctions which might be imposed.

Procedures include the Federal requirements for reporting suspected violations and detail at length the internal University procedures to be followed.
