Where to Find a Book or Journal

Use information from its Mirlyn record to find a book or journal.

Status
To see if a book is checked out, lost, or has recently been ordered, click on What Libraries Have in the full record. At most libraries, journals cannot be checked out. At some libraries, selected older journals may be checked out.

Location
Check here to find out which of the U-M libraries has the book or journal. If you are not sure where a particular library is located, click on the "i" icon next to the Location in the full record. You will see information about the library (including hours) and a link to campus maps.

Call Number
Write down the call number. It acts as the "address" of an item in the library. AAEL items will also state the location of the materials with the call number. To find out more information on the location of materials you can:

• Use one of the library maps that shows the call number range for each floor, or
• Ask at a Reference Desk
