MLibrary Proxy This Bookmarklet for iPhone
These instructions are for setting up the proxy bookmarklet for your iPhone.
Please see the main Proxy Bookmarket page for instructions for desktop and laptop computers
These instructions will help you create an MLibrary "Proxy This" bookmarklet for your iPhone. The proxy bookmarklet lets you reload a web page through the U-M Library's proxy server. If the page you are visiting is one that the library has a subscription for, and you're presently off-campus, then you should get you immediate access to the resource once you've logged in with your uniqname and Kerberos password and have been verified to have a valid library account.
Step 1: Bookmark This Page
Tap the 'plus' button at the bottom of the screen and then select Add Bookmark. It will automatically be named "MLibrary Proxy This Bookmarklet for iPhone", but you can change this if you want. Save the bookmark to your Bookmarks folder (or wherever you would like it to be). You should see something like this:

Step 2: Edit the Bookmark
This is the important part. Tap the bookmarks button (it looks like an open book) at the bottom of the screen. Then, tap "Edit" in the lower left. Find the bookmark you just saved (you may have called it "Proxy This Page") and tap on it.
You now need to edit the URL. Tap the URL field (it begins with "http://"), then remove everything up to and including the 3 underscores. When you're done, the only text remaining should be javascript:void(location.href=%22http://proxy.lib.umich.edu/login?url=%22+location.href).
When you're done, you should see something like this:

Step 3: Proxy Things!
Now, when you follow a link into a web site that the library provides you access to, you can quickly log in and get the full text. When you're on a web page you want to proxy, simply select your MLibrary Proxy This Bookmarklet for iPhone bookmark.
